Cadet Programs

The cadet program is designed to foster leadership and good citizenship in America’s youth, using aerospace education, Air Force role models and emphasis on public service.  Cadets may participate in a variety of activities, gain rank and increased recognition in the program and receive benefits for participation in the program should they choose to enter military service.  Most of all, it challenges them to learn and grow in ways they may not have had the opportunity to were it not for the program.

The Chicago Composite Squadron cedt program is unique, we have partnered with the Chicago Public Schools Air Force Academy High School.  We are the only composite squadron in the country to work directly with an Air Force Jr ROTC program.

Cadets in the Chicago Composite Squadron will have the opportunity to attend exciting activities like:

  • The International Air Cadet Exchange
  • The Illinois Spring and Summer Encampments
  • Numerous National Cadet Activities
  • The Chicago Air and Water Show
  • Ongoing Emergency Services Training and Real World Missions
